Dakar 2013 to Art and Antique Travel Adventure around Argentina

This ad is for " 2 or 3 other fellow travellers " for a travel adventure of a life time, DAKAR 2013, I?m organizing a unique travel adventure trip down here in South America for only Adventuress People!??.. up to 3 other travellers apart from myself, the idea is starting out in Buenos Aires and travelling towards Chile, following as close as possible the Dakar January 2013 Rally and at the same time seeing the Pampas, the Andes Mountains crossing over to Santiago de Chile and then we can either go south to the Big Island of Chiloe, back across to Argentina,

Or we can travel Via Esquel, seeing and travelling on trains, crossing lakes and bays, on paved and unpaved roads, hunting antique tractors, buying art and antiques and sleeping in small towns and villages some times in top notch boutique hotels other time in down and out places????. the idea is to have a total adventure in places I have already travelled to and others that I?m not familiar with. All this for an adventure that could well turn out to be a drive of a life time, we would be travelling in a 4 wheel drive vehicle, 4WD this is a good on and off road vehicle?... so far the idea is still being worked on, so its subject of change, all I wanted to check out is if there are any possible candidates who would be willing to accompany me and at the same time we would or could be documenting the trip for deferent purposes. Anyway, I have worked out some kind of cost for the trip, it?s based on a daily rate per person, this doesn?t include any extra expenses but only the use of the vehicle (included running costs) and insurance, it would be US $250 per person per day of adventure, minimum days 7, calculated on a base of 3 passengers.If we start in January we can also follow he Dakar Rally 2013 Trail and from Chile not go south

North to Bolivar!All other expenses; from trip down, to Buenos Aires and back home, from food lodging here and on the road and all person expenses all the way to medical costs if any, all , and each expense for each person, apart, are to be paid by each of the individuals doing the trip, and you can do this threw your local travel agent or any way you feel fit in doing it. There are some risks involved so its best only to do trip if you are in good health and to let me know of anything beforehand ....... .

Selling Antique Tractors, Steam Engines.......... and Argentina’s main economic resources has always been in the field: grains, cows, sheeps have been an incredible input to our economy throughout history. In the fields, the plow was one of the biggest and most important inventions. First powered by men, it was latter men was the one who guided the ox –the hard work now rested on their back-, and even closer to our days, horses replaced oxes in those hard choirs. It would take over 50 years for men to come up with a replacement for horses: tractors. There had been several unsuccessful attempts to use locomotives as a mechanical traction for the plow, firstly with the Fowler system, used for a while in the area of Bell Ville in 1868 and then during the early years of the 20th century there were some plows with “direct traction”. The result of those experiments was a much more expensive traction system than the original horse strength. However these attempts were the foundation for a revolutionary invention: Tractors. By mid 1892, in the USA an alternative to the horse plow system was successful. Tractors were born. In Argentina the first registered tractor importation was in 1906. It’s hard to know about quantities, for at first these items were registered under locomotives in customs. Later on they are registered as “motors”, therefore we can’t calculate for sure the amount of tractors that were imported in those days. It is only by mid 1920s that we have statistics on this matter. The information in those documents show that these machines were specially incorporated in big fields, for it wasn’t profitable in small fields. < So if you are interested in Art or Antiques, and you are thinking of travelling to Argentina Chile or Uruguay please feel free to email me…….. Julian specially created the music to suit this short documentary.
